Most Useful Activity on Wintersday?
What can we REALLY take advantage of during Wintersday? Like if you take the Cantha festivals, we get the rare opportunity to get some cheap lucky/unlucky points via nine rings. We can't do that at any other time of the year.
So is there some similar activity during Wintersday that we simply can't afford to NOT take advantage of? |

IMO snowball dominance. Winter's Day is the best for some titles. Boxing another account = hello easy money and much needed sweet/party points. I've got a max survivor title, vanguard title, and sweet tooth title on my second account so far.

Could you explain how that works? The "Boxing" bit?

Winter Wonderland, if your group is fast, can generate a stack in about 20-25 minutes. This will require runs to be about 1:50-2:10 every time, which is doable for groups. Many more variables than Snowball Dominance though

If you're decent, the amount of tournament points you can get out of Snowball tournaments is borderline criminal. Those convert to easy Z-keys.

You don't even have to be decent. Since the player base has declined and more players have figured out how to game the Snowball ATs, beating legitimate competition is no longer necessary to rake in the ZKeys.

+1 Snowball Automated Tournaments.
You can do PvE such as Snowball Dominance, or Winter Wonderland. But NOTHING compares with the rewards of an SAT. If you get playoffs (top 8), you've just won an easy 150k+ in this market (for simply getting here, you can give up at this point). Congrats. Takes 1-1.5 hours depending on amount of teams entered. First place gets ~300k in Zkeys for winning. The biggest problem in getting those 300k rewards though are bot teams, luckily, seldom few exist atm. Snowball is fun and for PvE'rs Last edited by _Aphotic_; Dec 23, 2011 at 08:43 AM // 08:43.. |

The only problem with SATs and WW is that both require other people and are not newbie-friendly, in terms of getting the most of them. Sure, GW is an MMO game and thus everyone should be socialised at least a little bit with others, sometimes PUGs can be organised, sometimes it's possible to gather over Guru or other site. But still, you need other players, and you kind of depend on their skill.
It's not the case with Snowball Dominance. Albeit arguably slower than good WW teams, you can farm SD on your own, using another account, using a hero or getting an easy PUG with a necro/ranger (lotsa people shouting for the duo in EotN, all the time pretty much), and it's pretty much idiot-proof. It's not the best way of getting money right here and now, though you might easily farm sweets/party/alcohols for your own titles and have some in your chest, waiting until the prices for such things go up a little bit (7~8k for a stack of frosty tonics, aka 500 party points, is laughable right now). |

I like doing Snowball Dominance with a hero. It lets me do it at my own pace and I can stop when I need to, which is good when you have two kids you need to chase after periodically. Its the same reason I usually use heroes, so my everyday distractions don't hinder other peoples enjoyment.

Do DoA, make armbraces, sell armbraces who are now worth more than usual, make extra profit.
Still beats 6 simmultaneous accounts of snowballing. |

During Wintersday you can rank up in Gamers Title... Which you cant do all year long... farming is crap during xmas cuz as Bright said... you can farm money in DoA and end up with more money (for which you can buy all your money titles) then if you would farm them yourself...
DoA = 100k/h or so depending on drops and ecto price... Snowball Dominance = 100k/2h at most... Tournament = xxx zkeys if (and its a big if) you manage to get decent players to play with you which I doubt it, with all due respect, because you are still asking how to grind this game for which it is the same answer for the past 2+ years?.... So... if you want pvp title (Gamer) do that... if your all bout pve and maxing titles and having epeen weapons and what not go do DoA and buy your titles in spamadan... |

but, having finally got around to doing snowball AT, I think it's definitely a better way to make cash. this is assuming of course, that you have a team consistently able to get into the single elimination round. especially when you add in the gvg zquest on multiple chars/accounts, the keys really add up. as for what martin's talking about... I prefer to just play the "normal" way, and I'm really ok with the fact that I'm not doing as well as those using other methods. |

If you lose first playoff you get about 120 points, if you're 9th-15th you get roughly 60, and if you are lower, you get around 20-30... If you consider the number of people running henchways or using 4-6 sec accounts, you can count how many they do earn by just getting 2/4 or 3/3( something which is really easy considering the number of people asking..), which is as if they were in playoffs.... Then people get into account whats the best to do to get the best profit and this lead to the game today, most organize PvP is inactive, Sb AT's are less competitive than before ( it's still only 10 guilds serious at best upon 60...)... To answer the Op, i'm just going to say it depends what you have fun with... I don't personnaly think repeating a quest over and over is that fun, so i would suggest to do play Snowball At's( usually there are some guilds looking for players in great temple of balthazar) and to do some quests aside... |

Most Useful Activity on Wintersday?
Define "useful". It obviously depends upon what your goals are. I'd say that the most useful thing to do during Wintersday would be to try the various quests and events and see what you like best and/or what best suits your purpose. But mostly, enjoy yourself - isn't that really the most useful activity?
